01 How is this different from Stripe Connect?
Connect is a solid starting rail. It breaks at scale on three axes: KYB approval rates for non-US sellers, per-payout fees on small-dollar sellers, and inflexibility on tiered take-rate logic. multiflow addresses all three as first-class features rather than workarounds.
02 Can you handle escrow / held funds?
Yes. Parent-level escrow supports holds until delivery confirmation, review period, dispute resolution, or custom triggers. Escrow releases on configurable rules per marketplace policy.
03 What about 1099-K generation?
Automatic at year-end for US sellers crossing the $20k/200-txn threshold (and the lower state-level thresholds in MA, VT, IL, MD, VA, etc.). Sellers download from their own portal; platform exports bulk CSV.
04 Can sellers have their own descriptors?
Yes — per-seller descriptor on card statements. Buyer sees "MarketplaceBrand*SellerName" or just "SellerName" depending on marketplace policy. Configurable per-seller or per-platform.
05 What is the minimum GMV to make sense?
Above $500k/mo aggregate GMV, multiflow pays for itself on payout-fee arbitrage alone. Below that, Stripe Connect is usually the right call unless KYB approval rate on your seller profile is the blocker.
